Eternal Fountain

We have sought the "Fountain of Youth" of life. We have heard stories about a spring that grants eternal youth and vitality to all who drink from it. Is the fairy tale. Or not?

The physical longevity is a hot topic nowadays. You read about the various technologies that provide new and plausible methods such as regenerative medicine, bio-technological advances, and research with stem cells, which hold the promise of increased life expectancy as we seek ways to become immortal.

Dr. Patrick Dixon, said in a presentation entitled Biotechnology / Genetics Revolution: Impact on Education and Aging in the U.S. alone there are 75,000 people aged 100 and there are technologies able to increase that number to over 140,000 within the next 5 or 6 years. These medical advances have already been used for brain repair after a person of stroke and to repair the spinal cord itself with one's own tissue.

Our idea of adolescence used to be "up to 18", but now can be up to 30 years of age or older. Many who have children know that this is true. Our kids come home at 33 with her clothes in tow when things do not work. People are waiting longer to have children, sometimes even in their 40's. In fact, biologically, we are 10 years younger than our parents were in the same age, and the idea of "staying young forever" is becoming increasingly real.

But why is the concept of immortality physical so seductive? Why people want to live forever? Probably so they can continue the experience of the world and all the pleasures it offers. However, the wisdom of Kabbalah explains that there are eternal pleasures waiting for us, and indeed, we have to extend the life of our physical bodies to experience they.

The way to eternity

Kabbalah is called the "wisdom of the unseen" as it reveals the reality that is hidden to our five senses. Throughout history, scientific research and progress have always come from our desire to know what is hidden from our five senses. However, scientific research has only extended the range of our senses through instruments such as X-ray machines and telescopes, however, none of these technologies have been investigated somewhat more perception beyond the five senses

Speaking Allegorically, man is like a box of "black", he feels, he understands and sees only what comes through their five "starts." Therefore, in all our research, we are limited by our five senses. And all external instruments to build, or want to build in the future, can not escape the limitations of the five senses. Thus, in order to perceive beyond our five senses, we must learn to create a new "openness" in the box, or in simpler words, how to develop a new sense.

Kabbalists explain that each person has the ability to develop a sense of being able to perceive broader global scope of reality, beyond time and space. We can refer to him as "the soul", but in fact, works like any other sense, only in a higher level of consciousness, beyond that it refers to our physical body.

When we start feeling through the soul, we will realize it really is not necessary to seek ways to make our bodies to live forever. Through the soul, we connect with the eternal flow of life, experience and the pleasures and sensations that are infinitely greater than the world of our five senses.
